Production Buddy
Privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
Production Buddy is made by El Raven Productions. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you use it, why, and what you can do about it. Questions are welcome at info@elraven.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address, city and country, and occupation, plus anything optional you choose to tell us (what you make, how you heard about us, your production company) and whether you’d like updates. Your password is stored only as a scrambled hash that we can’t turn back into your password.
- Your work: the productions you create in Production Buddy and what you put in them, such as scripts, schedules, shot lists, contacts and images.
- Sign-in records: when you sign in, which browser and device you used, and roughly where from (the city and country your internet connection points to, not your exact location). We use these to spot sign-ins from new devices or places and protect your account.
- Messages to us: anything you send through the Comments box, along with your email so we can reply.
How we use it
- To run Production Buddy and keep your account secure.
- To understand who uses Production Buddy and what for, looking at members as a whole (for example, how many producers or students use it, and where), so we can make it better.
- To reply when you write to us.
- To send you occasional news about Production Buddy, only if you said yes. Emails needed to use your account (sign-in codes, security notices) are sent either way.
Who can see it
El Raven Productions can see your account and sign-in records. When you share a production with someone, they can see that production and your email address. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
We rely on a few services to run Production Buddy, which handle your information only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare hosts Production Buddy, stores its data, and runs the check on the sign-up form that you’re a person, not a bot.
- Resend sends our emails, such as sign-in codes.
- Ko-fi handles donations, if you choose to make one, under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and productions for as long as you have an account. Sign-in codes and records of sign-in attempts are kept for about two days. A device you asked us to remember is forgotten when it goes unused for 60 days, when you set a new password, or when you ask us.
Your choices
- Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account and your productions: email info@elraven.com.
- Stop updates at any time by emailing us.
- Download a copy of a production at any time from the Project menu in any tool.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in, to remember a device you asked us to remember, and to remember whether you chose light or dark. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. If you open the Donate panel, Ko-fi may set its own cookies.
Keeping it safe
Passwords are stored only as hashes, sign-ins from new devices or places need a code from your email, and access to your account can be shut off at once if something goes wrong. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don’t use anywhere else.
Age
Production Buddy is for people aged 13 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top, and we’ll email members about significant changes.
